The BlackBerry Torch may have been the first touchscreen-equipped QWERTY smartphone of RIM, but it definitely looks like it won’t be lone one in the market especially if this latest leaked device gets released sooner than later.
Meet the BlackBerry Dakota. This may look like your typical BlackBerry handset, but this baby actually sports a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen to complement its on-bard full QWERTY keypad. The goodies don’t end there. It also sports a –megapixel camera with flash and image stabilization, HD video recording, WiFi (b/g/n) on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, Bluetooth, mobile Hotspot capabilites, NFC support, 768MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory with BlackBerry 6.1 as its OS. Jus like most touchscreen phone nowadays, this baby also rocks a proximity sensor, accelerometer, and magnetometer.
No word on a launch date yet, but you can bet your bottom dollar we’ve got our eyes peeled for this one.
