Facebook for Feature Phones coming to Mobilicity

Some carriers would use certain phone models to lure subscribers to their folds. Others turn to enticing promos and unlimited monthly plans. In the case of Mobilicity, they now have Facebook as a come on. Yes, that’s right – Facebook.

Facebook for Feature PhonesThe popular social networking site has just announced they’ll be releasing a mobile app for a wider array of mobile phones dubbed as “Facebook for Feature Phones.” It’s no secret that there’s a Facebook app available on iOS, Android, and Windows 7, but for non-smartphone owners, sad to say, they aren’t as fortunate. With this new Facebook for Feature Phones app and the cooperation of various carriers across the globe, Facebook hopes to address this need.

They’ve already listed their partner carriers who will be releasing Facebook for Feature Phones to their subscribers, and Mobilicity is one of them. Developed with the help of Snaptu, this new Facebook mobile app is compatible with over 2,500 devices from renowned brands such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG, and many more.

As an added treat, this app will be free to use (yes, no data charges) for the first 90 days after its launch. When that’ll happen, we still don’t know, but no to worry, we’ll be here to give you the heads up once they do so.
