With a new BlackBerry Torch and Bold (the Dakota) smartphone already leaked, you really didn’t think the Curve series would be left behind? Meet the BlackBerry Curve Apollo. That’s still just a codename, but we do have it specs already courtesy of – who else – BGR to whet your appetitive.
The 11mm-thin Apollo will run on a Tavor MG-1 800MHz processor complemented by 512MB RAM. It also packs a 5-megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi (b/g/n), 7.2Mbps tri-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity, GPS, NFC support, an HVGA 480×360 resolution display, and just like the two previously leaked RIM handsets, runs on BlackBerry 6.1.
No word on when this baby will be released, but we hear it will be “aggressively priced.” Specs-wise, it certainly has what it takes to beat the high-end Curve smartphones. Hopefully, its price will just be as enticing.
