Coupon Site SmartSource Goes Mobile

The premier publisher of US and Canadian coupons News America Marketing has announced that their consumer coupons site SmartSource in partnership with Augme Technologies is going mobile.

The mobile version of SmartSource will enable smartphone users to scroll through and select available coupons direct from their mobile device without the need to download an special software or apps.

The president of News America Marketing, Chris Mixson said…“Smartphone ownership is on the rise, but it’s important to us to give as many consumers as possible access to this powerful savings tool today. We have long had a commitment to shoppers to provide them with savings wherever they choose to look, whether in the newspaper, in stores, online, and now, on their mobile device.”

News America Marketing is also behind such in-store promos as SmartSource Coupon Machine that gives savings at supermarket shelves in tens of thousands of stores across the nation and by going mobile with their coupons News America Marketing is taking the next step in expanding their reach to customers.

The new mobile version of SmartSource.com allows shoppers to access the same browsing and coupons they find on SmartSoruce.com by now on their mobile phone with navigation, content and interactive screens specifically formatted for each mobile device.

Included in the launch by News America Marketing will be the launch of mobile sampling programs along with direct-to-card couponing both of which will be based on QR codes and supported by Augme Technologies sometime early in 2011.
