Bad news, soon-to-be-Verizon-customers: you’re going to have to be a bit more choosy about which cat videos your stream to your handset. Verizon’s Unlimited Smartphone plans are about to bite the dust. We knew this day was coming — we just didn’t know when it would be.
Verizon has just confirmed the changes to Fierce Wireless, disclosing that they’ll go into place beginning in just 2 days, on July 7th.
Join us after the jump for the breakdown.
New Smartphone plans, beginning July 7th:
$10 for 75 MB per month
$30 for 2 GB per month
$50 for 5 GB per month
$80 for 10 GB per month
Overage Charges: $10 per gigabyte over your allotment
Customers already on unlimited plans will be able to keep them, even if they choose to upgrade their device down the road, be it that they don’t manually change up their plan. Don’t try switchin’ away from your unlimited plan and then moseying on back to it a few months later, though — that’ll be a tough one to pull off.
