Only quite a few days after announcing that it would probably bring the Xoom to Europe in the second quarter of the year, Motorola has now unveiled more details on the tablet’s European launch.
In the UK, the 3G/ Wi-Fi Motorola Xoom will be sold by The Carphone House and Best Buy.
There will also be a Wi-Fi only version, available via Currys and PC World. Deutsche Telekom (which operates under the T-Mobile brand) will offer the new tablet – the world’s first to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb – in other select European markets (Motorola didn’t say which ones exactly).
There’s no word on how much the Moto Xoom will cost in Europe. In the US, where the tablet will be available at Verizon Wireless, the 3G version will cost $800 (about €590 or 494 GBP), while the Wi-Fi only version should be offered for $600.
