While we’re still waiting for Samsung to publicly announce the next-generation Galaxy S (which will take place in Barcelona at MWC 2011), perhaps an alleged official photo of it has hit the internet.
If you were expecting the Galaxy S II (that’s what its official name seemingly is) to be an awesome-looking smartphone, you’ll be disappointed.
New Galaxy looks plain boring, and if it weren’t for the home button and the call / end call keys, you could’ve said it’s an iPhone knock-off. However, here’s what the handset’s official specs reportedly include: HSPA+, Wi-Fi, 802.11b/g/n, Android 2.3, 4.3-inch (not 4.5) WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, and a dual core Samsung processor-all in a body that’s just 8.49mm thick. Distant from the Galaxy S II, Samsung will also announce a new tablet, possibly called Galaxy Tab II. According to Engadget, the Galaxy Tab II runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb; it has a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, and may come in three versions: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. We’ll come to know if Samsung confirms these details or not.
