T-Mobile Motorola CLIQ 2 now Official

T-Mobile Motorola CLIQ 2

As expected, Motorola made official the CLIQ 2 at CES. Consistent with what we’ve heard in the past, the Motorola CLIQ 2 packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen, a 5-megeapixel AF camera with dual-LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a uniquely designed slide-out full QWERTY keypad. In addition to that, it also comes with DLNA support and runs on a 1GHz processor with Android 2.2 as its OS and MotoBLUR.

It’s a pretty underwhelming device especially when compared to the other new handsets we’ve seen at CES this year – the Sony Ericsson XPERIA arc, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Atrix – but in fairness to it, it’s still got enough chops to take on the current crop of Android phones out now.

It’s confirmed to be rolling out on January 19th and will exclusively be available on T-Mobile though pricing is still a mystery. Yeah, it’s a bit disappointing to hear that it only comes with Android 2.2, but hey, Froyo ain’t that bad, and if priced just right, this might just be the best bang-for–your-buck Android phone this 2011.
