O2 sales up 20 per cent at Avenir

Distributor pinpoints its Treasure Chest incentive for dealers as the reason behind the sales boost

Avenir Telecom has seen a 20 per cent year-on-year increase in sales of O2 and BlackBerry connections.

The airtime distributor and O2 strategic partner said the boost in sales has been aided by its current Treasure Chest incentive, which launched in April and ends at the end of June.

The Treasure Chest incentive rewards dealers with coins based on new O2 connections and BlackBerry sales. Upon hitting specific targets, dealers receive prizes such as 3D TVs, with the best performer winning a Caribbean holiday.

Avenir is now offering double the number of coins based on each sale, as the incentive reaches its final weeks.

In addition, Avenir managing director Andy Tow said the incentive has helped attract new partners, some of which are already in line for the top prize. He refused to disclose numbers, however.

Tow said: “The incentive is designed to drive incremental business from our existing partners and indeed we have seen an uplift of approximately 20 per cent year-on-year.

“It’s fair to say that Avenir is renowned for its market-leading incentives. Each new incentive is bigger and better than the one before and the next is already in the planning.”

Avenir has also become the first airtime distributor to offer its dealers O2’s new business broadband product.
