Verizon Wireless CFO Fran Shammo has confirmed to investors attending the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom conference on Tuesday that Verizon will be eliminating its current unlimited access data plan centered on iPhone sales to an as yet undetermined tiered data access model based on either speed or usage, with the carrier still working to determine its final plans to be luanched in the middle of the summer season. This is not an unexpected move for the carrier as CEO Lowell McAdam has previously stated that the carrier would adopt tiered data plans as a response to its concerns regarding data network integrity and costs.
