N-trig, provider of DuoSense, a pen and projected capacitive multi-touch solution enabled over a single digitizer, today announced that its technology is integrated into the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet, offering an enterprise solution for precise and accurate content creation.

Lenovo’s 10.1″ ThinkPad Tablet utilizes the DuoSense solution and runs on the latest version of Android, enabling enterprise users to easily switch between pen and multi-touch and enhancing the productivity of mobile business professionals, providing users more versatility for content creation and collaboration. The pen offers a significant advantage over touch-only enabled tablets, making every day work tasks more efficient – from annotating a PDF, to writing an email or collaborating online with colleagues.

“As a leader in developing computers, like our renowned ThinkPad laptops for business users, we’re leveraging our experience in mobile computing to deliver the first true no-compromise business tablet,” said Tom Butler, director, ThinkPad Marketing, Lenovo. “By offering N-trig’s multi-touch and pen technology on the ThinkPad Tablet, we’re arming them with the tools they need to be most productive, moving past the touch-only concept of other tablets and giving users total capability for creating content.”

DuoSense enables users to select their input method of choice, offering a completely flexible, on-screen mobile computing environment. For all types of work settings, from the classroom to the boardroom, Lenovo’s ThinkPad Tablet’s pen offers precise and accurate user input. The pen’s sub-pixel accuracy together with pressure, hover and a rapid refresh rate enhances traditional media consumption by enabling an increased creative potential for on-screen user interaction, resulting in a more personal, productive and creative experience.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with Lenovo, and together enter into the next era of mobile computing,” said Amichai Ben-David, CEO at N-trig. “By collaborating on an Android-based solution for the enterprise market, we are able to continue our commitment to advancing mobile computing in the work place, providing new opportunities for software developers to create innovative pen-enabled applications, for a more enriched user experience.”
